What is an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
An Internet service provider or ISP is an organization or company that is an intermediary between users and the Internet. In fact, ISPs allow users to connect to the Internet and use it for a fee.
What is an ISP?
An ISP (abbreviation for Internet Service Provider) is an internet service provider of an organization or company that allows users to connect to and use the Internet, in fact, it can be called an interface between the user and the Internet. These services are usually provided to the user in the face of receiving a fee.ISPs usually provide services such as web hosting, internet domain registration, email services, etc. in addition to connecting users to the Internet. They do as well. Of course, the ISP can fall under another ISP. That is, not as an independent ISP but as an affiliated ISP to provide services for users. Therefore, the placement of the ISP as an interface company between the user and the Internet is as follows: As you can see, users access the Internet by connecting to the ISP and using its services. For their own safety, ISPs and users usually have firewalls that somehow filter communications and prevent potential attacks on their network and their users. ISPs can also communicate with other ISPs as a private network. Thus, the Internet is no longer required to connect an ISP to another user.

Ways to connect with isp and types of subscriptions:
One of the most common ways to communicate with Internet service providers is to use a dial-up line or use broadband connections (such as DSLs). ISP centers give their users a password and an Internet connection device (such as network cards or routers) and allow the user to use the Internet platform after applying various settings. The user can use the Internet by purchasing a monthly, yearly or permanent subscription and by connecting to their ISP through network cards, routers or other devices. Two common types of Internet subscriptions through built-in ISPs are unlimited subscriptions and limited subscriptions. In unlimited user subscriptions, there are no restrictions on sending or receiving data from the Internet platform and through their subscription, and can use it indefinitely. In a limited subscription, the user can only use the Internet until the end of their volumetric package. Volume packets can have different volumes. For example, if you buy a limited subscription of 5 GB, your incoming or sent data will be limited to only 5 GB, after which you will need to renew your subscription or increase your volume pack. Of course, note that the main data sending and receiving speed (so-called Internet speed) in a limited subscription is higher than the unlimited subscription, because there are fewer people in the limited subscription of the subscription account, while the number of these people increases in unlimited subscriptions. So usually an Internet subscription that buys at 128 speeds can include multiple shared users.
Domestic Internet Service Providers:
In Iran, the number of companies providing Internet services is not high. Of course, foreign companies charge more than the speed or volume of data. Some of the top companies in Iran are:
- Shuttle (Arya Conducta Tadbir Company)
- Sabant (Nedagstar Saba Company)
- Pars Online
- MobinNet
